Salesperson Testing Details

Our salesperson testing is conducted at CADA’s headquarters, located at 290 E Speer Blvd, Denver, CO 80203.

Testing hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 2 pm.

General Mastery Exam Information:

• You may take the exam up to twice per day between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:00 pm (second exam must start by 2:00 pm).
• The test is administered on a first-come-first-serve basis. No appointment is necessary.
• The Mastery Exam is timed. You have a maximum of 90 minutes to complete the exam. Please note: the exam will “time-out” at the end of the allowed time.
• This is an open book exam. You will be provided a hard copy of the Motor Vehicle Industry Laws & Regulations manual. A “digital” copy of the manual is available as well.
• You must obtain a score of 85% (51 out of 60 questions) or better in order to pass the exam.
• You must answer all 60 questions to complete the exam.
• The exam consists of multiple-choice, short answer and/or true false questions.
• Once you complete the exam, you will be taken to a screen showing your score. In order to verify a passing grade, a CADA test administrator must view your score. If the administrator is unable to visually confirm your score, you must re-take the exam.

The licensing exam is comprehensive and requires thorough preparation. We strongly recommend studying the study manual before taking the exam. It is essential to have a solid understanding of all relevant laws and regulations. The study manual covers the necessary topics to ensure you have the minimum competency required for the license you are pursuing.
